The Buoy We Use at Deep Division

A freediving buoy is one of the most important pieces of equipment in open-water training.

It marks the training area, supports the dive line and gives freedivers a place to rest, prepare and communicate between dives. During a session, it becomes the centre of the group — the point where safety, teamwork and organisation come together.

At Deep Division, we use a buoy made by a Ukrainian manufacturer. It is created from high-quality materials with careful attention to durability, comfort and the practical needs of freedivers.

We value equipment that is made thoughtfully. Strong materials, reliable construction and functional details matter when the buoy is used regularly in the sea, exposed to sun, salt water and changing weather conditions.

But our choice is not only about technical performance.

Supporting a Ukrainian manufacturer is also important to us. We want to work with people who understand the needs of the freediving community and create equipment with genuine care for those who use it.

Good gear should make training easier, not more complicated. It should help the team stay organised, allow divers to rest comfortably and support safer, more focused sessions.

For Deep Division, a buoy is not simply an accessory. It is part of the training environment and part of the care we provide for every person in the water.
